This is not the wimpy, flimsy stuff.
I go through a lot of packing tape, and I need the thicker tape. I cannot stand thin, flimsy, wimpy tape that constantly curls up on itself or wrinkles up when a little tension is needed. I was using a heavy duty type of a big brand name, but paid dearly for it. When it was time to reorder, I found this. I was hesitant hitting the order now button. I'm glad I did! This is every bit as durable and easy to use as the brand name at half the price. I still use the tape gun from the expensive brand, it doesn't know the difference.

cheap quality, very flimsy - stay away!!
This is super cheap quality and flimsy tape, I only purchased it based on other reviews which were extremely inaccurate. I think tape from the dollar store would work better. Stay away from this!!

Very good.....but not quite excellent
As the other reviewers have stated, shipping tape is expensive....especially when you use it on a daily basis to mail eBay packages. That being said, this stuff works. It is thinner than the name brand stuff and can be a bit hard to "start" a roll. That being said, it doesn't shred mid-use. Functionally, it's very good. However, this one does have an odor. It smells like plastic and it makes noise unwrapping as you place it.. Perhaps I just "have a nose" and my hearing is sensitive, but it's not quite a "10".

Reasonable price and decent quality
used for my big apartment move and the tape held up great in hot weather and held my heavy duty cardboard boxes together just fine- no peeling and was strong and clear. i did tape twice on the very heavy extra large boxes (2.5’ x 2.5’x 3’) just in case and it was fine. the medium and smaller boxes i used only one strip and it was great too. although i did not use for long term storage so i cannot comment on that. but much better than a big name brand that i also tried - name brand peeled and came away from the boxes a little. would definitely buy this brand over the big name brand packing and shipping tape again.
