Overall this is a great game...very simple compared to the PS2 Lego games, but still awesome. I bought this game (and the trilogy also) for my boys, ages 8, 6 and 4. My two older boys have already played for a few hours each and still have tons of playing left to do...my 4 year old is still a little young for the game, but he does like to play it for a while. When I tried the game out I did find it a little difficult to gauge where you are jumping and swinging your light saber, but after a while it got easier to be accurate with them. I know this is a game that will take my kids quite a while to figure out, while keeping them interested at the same time (something not so easy for hyper kids!). I would for sure recommend this game to anyone!!!
The premise behind this game is interesting. Taking a popular series such as star wars and combining it with the ever popular lego sounds like a fantastic idea, and maybe it is. However, after playing this game, I found myself fairly unimpressed with what I saw. The control in the game is jerky at best, and the fact that you must constantly switch between characters during a level, just to accomplish one action over and over again, is frustrating to say the least. The game does have a large set of unlockable features, but most of them are new characters to use on levels that have already been completed. Die-hard fans of star wars or legos will obviously be intrigued, but I would think twice and do some research before buying. There are both better lego products and better stars wars products to be found.Read full review
This was for my 8-year old and here is what he has to say about the game: "If you love Star Wars, this is a great game because you can play episode's one, two and three. It has a lot of challenging levels. You get a certain amount of hearts and if you lose them all you have to start again at the beginning. If you do story mode you can beat all the levels and go to Tatooine, Genosis factory and Genosis Factory Rescue. In Genosis Factory Rescue Obi Wan gets captured by Count Dooku. Players work with other Star Wars characters to rescue Obi Wan." If you love Star Wars and Legos this is a game you'll love.
I bought the Star Wars Lego game for game boy advance for my 7 year old son. He has been asking for it for over a year and since nintendo is no longer making game boy advance games, my only option was to find a used one. I found one on E-Bay for a very reasonable price and my The game we purchased was in excellent condition and my son has spent hours playing it.
Excellent game. Bought it based upon online reviews and very pleased. Gave to my six, now seven, year old as gift and one to my six year old nephew for birthday; rated a favorite by both!! I enjoy it, too. It is one of the few games that I, with my limited gaming abilities, can play. Loads of fun with lots of fun cheat codes and free play! I rate it a blast and I am looking forward to Lego Star Wars 2!
