I bought this on vinyl many years ago, although the cover stated the recording was in stereo, the vinyl inside was actually in mono. I'd bought the album on the way to Bahrain and didn't discover the error until I got there. As it goes I loved the recording, particularly the backing and wanted to hear it in stereo. I came across the album recently in my loft and so sought the CD out on e-bay. Now I can listen to Otis & the gang as it was meant to be when originally recorded.
I heard Otis sing a track from this CD on the radio and I thought I'd like to buy the CD. It shows how good a singer Otis was, because in the 60's when this was recorded there was not the technology about to make singers sound good. It was so cheap and I was not disappointed. The CD is in superb condition, my only regret is that I didn't see Otis live. But rumour has it that there's a video of Otis at Monterey. So who knows.
