This little gadget looks like a piece of credit-card-shaped plastic, and can slip into your wallet... until you have reason to need a blade. Then you take it out, open the catch, flip the blade around and fold the two plastic corners over to make a respectable hilt, and you've got a very usable knife in your hands. It's a cute little thing but far from a toy -- that blade is SHARP, and can serve for anything from opening packages to gutting fish. It's impressive. And when it ceases to hold its edge, you just throw it away and take out a new one; they're selling for less than a dollar a knife. There does have to be a catch to all this, and it is that the plastic isn't terribly strong. On top of that, the hinge on which the blade connects to the hilt has to be the weak link by the nature of the thing's design... otherwise it wouldn't flip around to open. This means that you *can't* really use it for anything which would require pressure, or the blade will snap off in your hand. You'll probably rarely *need* much pressure... see above about the blade being very sharp. Most of the time, it slides through ordinary things like packing cardboard or tomatoes without needing enough pressure to give you any trouble. But if you're going to be using it on anything where you'd have to push or saw, be careful. It helps a lot to put your index finger along the top edge of the blade; it creates a backing which can take the strain instead of the weakened plastic having to take it. But even that won't help entirely. You may find that you run through a few of the knives before figuring out what its limits are -- but at these prices, you can afford to. Four stars -- full marks for inventiveness and usefulness and value; minus one for flimsiness where it counts.Read full review

I bought three of these knives a few years ago. I gave one to each of my sons and I kept one. We use them several times a year, and sometimes several times a month. It is a great little knife to have in your wallet at all times. Unfortunately, I was traveling recently and forgot to remove it from my wallet before going through airport security. They confiscated it. So, when I got home, I started looking for a replacement. This was an unbelievable value. I don't need ten, but when I use it and someone comments on it's utility, I can give it to them and re-fill my wallet when I get home. Buy this item. You won't be disappointed.

For the price you can't beat it. It's slim and can fit almost anywhere. I did not really notice when I put it in wallet. The blade is very sharp (a lot sharper then I thought it would be). Figuring out how to fold the handle and expose the blade and vise versa takes a second to figure out after you do it once you realize it's very simple. I kind of look at this as the P38 of knifes. It's cheap effective lightweight but you don't want to use it everyday.

I must say I love this "wallet knife". It literally fits in a credit card slot in your wallet, and once snapped into place, it's very sturdy and works fantastic. The knife is sharp, so be careful, but I have one to my wife and she fees more safe with it in her wallet. For the price you can't go wrong, I love these and will continue to keep giving them to family and friends.

These were a HUGE hit at my Christmas party! Even the Wives were fighting to keep them, as the men open their gifts. I went to 3 different Christmas parties, each had these as a gift from me, and the reaction was the same every time! Excited and intrigued! They were also useful for the ones with hard gifts to open this year (yea, I duct taped some peoples gifts shut). I will be buying again next year! But this time for ALL of the men in my life.
