Throughout the commentary is on point, the bias is light, and the facts present are irrefutable. Where Shirer's Risa and Fall of the Third Reich is often a ponderous, bombastic screed that presents opinion as fact, The American Heritage Picture History of World War II is heavy on history, light on opinion.
