Have not had mine long, but seems to be of decent quality for $40 bucks. Leather seems to be of good enough thickness, smells funky until it airs out for a while. 1911 fits holster good and snug but not real tight. Leather flap fits over top of weapon as it should. JT&L cut into the leather gives it a little bit of an authentic touch.

It's a nice looking holster but highly polished, too polished. Leather is stained too dark for ww2 or ww2 holsters. Leather is not as thick as originals and holster is oversized for 1911s. My 1911 fit loosely in the holster it should have been a tight fit for a new holster. The U.S emblem is not embossed very deeply like the originals.

I compared it to 2 original, old worn-out gi WW2 holsters that a friend has. The rivets, stitches and shapes are all exactly the same. My .45 fits perfectly and it fits on my cartridge belt exactly as it should. I'm glad I went this route. I won't be on doggone guard duty ever, but the Colt .45 auto is happier in a real man's home instead of some plastic or nylon Commie material that was formed by some snowflake!

My 1911 6" barrel fits perfect. Easy to carry and prevents your gun from being skinned up. Access is a bit harder than thumb latched holsters but its a trade off to gun damage

Holster is well made and the color is great. Fits my 1911 perfect. Great for the range, display or reenactments.
