This is perhaps the best machete I've had, I think primarily because of the long handle that allows for a two-handed grip. It's a functional sword, for crying out loud. I've had a variety of guloks, bolos, itaks, and a host of other commercial machetes, but most if not all of them are designed for one hand wielding. The two-handed grip makes the difference. You get more power and improved control. It's light and quick for single hand swing, like when you're hiking and need to clear a path. the extra long handle extends the blade away from you for greater coverage. Or you can choke it up for more precise cuts. With two hands, it almost feels like a katana. Not razor sharp, after all, you're not shaving with this. You might need to sharpen it a bit though to get rid of the usual burrs that come with most commercial machetes, easy enough. The sheath is okay just to protect you and the blade, but I'm thinking of having a custom sheath made for a more "tactical" feel. There are youtube videos if you want to see its performance. I'm just here to help you decide whether to get one or whatever. GO. Click BUY NOW.Read full review

It's even better than I was expecting very well made Sheth that come whit it is also very well made no cheap Materials Never mind a lot of blades in my life I have bought many now but this is my favorite & best by far one of the sharpest and most well made ones for the price of it Blew my mine among the mini swords katana's and Machetes that I've got and some I've paid 8-10 times this for a couple of them and there not even comparable to this one so I recommend it 100% if you want a durable sharp & menacing looking weapon Look no further than Cold steeI i will definitely be purchasing many more items from them check them out on YouTube You won't regret it you can thank me later

Sharp out of the box. Using it to clear a large patch of briars. It gives you the reach and it isn't near as heavy as a bush axe so you get fast cuts to chop light brush but strong enough to cut wrist thick material with a few two handed whacks. Only Con: round handle does allow blade to roll with some strikes...wrap it

I love all kind of swords and machetes. But this little i would say southeast asian machete is probably my favorite one of all. I wish cold steel would have make the blade a little wider from top to bottom (spine to blade). I love the look of it and the use of it. Its a pretty light machete where you feel like a holding a stick but pretty powerful.

First off, I am disabled, I was paralyzed by a neck injury and had to relearn everything after the titanium plate. I mention this bcuz as an avid and experienced outdoorsman who studied outdoor survival I quickly learned that I could demolish or build ANYTHING with a good machete. I was also the victim of a home invasion and the 3 creeps were very sorry I had a machete I was using that day on forsythia. But it was a bit too long and I was very lucky to have not been overwhelmed and killed. There was no time to unlock and load a gun and since the third assault that crippled me I needed better reach for shooting lanes and the recurve tip makes a great brush hook to pull stuff together for disposal and I can lean on it slightly for balance and not bend over. Great to take fishing at the overgrown River full of purple loose strife and with the awesome handle you can go from point blank in a room to the far end to reach out and stuck someone trying to hurt you. A 29" machete is great for forsythia but too long for a druggie assaulting you but this chokes up. I only took a star away bcuz it was not well sharpened at all, beasy to fix with a lansky, and the strap holder clip broke. Otherwise a 1065 work sword that helps disabled people stay in the game. I can even use it from the scooter 🛵 but be discreet, cops freak out and you better really be going to the woods with it strapped to your back while the law dictates peasantism sword bans violating the second amendment as much as gun laws. I keep mine near the bed at night all shined up and sharp as heck, black as death. You may be put off by the way the grivex handle flexes with the machete but you get used to it hitting the sweet spot faster and it even has a lanyard hole. Decent sheath but be careful when returning it to the sheath canvas. I have one hole already. You have to bend the flap out of the way of the built in hilt, another great safety feature. Please use responsibly, this is NOT a toy and will last forever if cared for properly and oiled on the carbon steel. Read full review
