This is really easy to use and the dial makes it really simple to figure out where to set it for your type knife. It does seem most of the knives need a setting that isn't on the sharpener but other than that it's great.

Used this on kitchen knives and hunting knives and was not pleased with results. Had better luck with Smiths one piece sharpener for $6.

Safe and easy to use knife sharpener. The one issue I have is how to clean the abrading sticks. I think you should be able to just take off the cover and clean them with scouring powder but Smith does not recommend anything about cleaning (sorry if I missed it). Now if I could only get my wife to use it!

Sharpening knives or blades, is not as easy as it sounds. Even if skilled, time is required. And, you can't over sharpen your blade or knife. Soon, it WILL look odd. Trust me. Said problem is compounded. There are very few devices or solutions out there, that don't cost an arm or leg, to address the issue - in all ways. This product, to me, is one that does so economically and properly. Sure. It ain't perfect. But, having a machine to do a real man's (all-gender-inclusive) job, for a variety of blades/knives, which is affordable for the man-on-the-street as well, are far far few too few in between. Get yours!

It has replaceable stones and is easy to use, just adjust dial indicator to angle that's recommended for your knife and sharpen away.
