I bought another copy of Home Team because the one I bought from Borders was stolen at work. Had the author and Saints Head Coach Sean Peytons's autograph. He and the Saints had a preseason practice week between games at the time on August 2011. Sean mostly writes his personal experiences in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and the environment in the city in the area, and the inspiration through their Super Bowl season. I highly recommend this book to any Saints fan, and the Saints will be back again very soon to win the Super Bowl. WHO DAT!!!!!
If you're a Who Dat, you've got to have Home Team. All previous Saints books have all covered the "coulda, woulda, shoulda." But this one covers the success of the Saints as told through the eyes of Payton. Enjoyable reading, almost like talking to the Coach on your back porch over a beer. Great price, great read, a must for the Who Dat Fan! Own it now!
This will make the perfect addtion to my collection. What a great year for my team. This is something I can show off at my next Superbowl party.
Sean Payton's story of coming to New Orleans, building his staff and team into winners and the drive to the SuperBowl are an awesome read.... told from the perspective of a guy that went with a gut feeling about moving to post-Katrina New Orleans..... mixed in are the right amount of humor and interspective... great story
great book;easy reading;i bought it because of all the hype around it and enjoyed it thoroughly;funny, interesting and insightful
