I have seen most of Burt Reynolds movies. If you want too see a movie where he truly shines as a superb actor, then this movie is for you. Keith Carradine is also great, as well as everyone else in the cast. The movie is based on a song that came out in the early 60's called "Wolverton Mountain". Burt's character was based on a person by the name of Clifton Clowers whom was a real person that lived on (actual spelling) Woolverton Mountain in Arkansas. Keith Carradine's character portrays a drifting soldier at the end of World War 1 that just happened upon Samuel's (Burt's) Mountain. I need not say anymore without ruining this excellent movie. I think anyone that is a Burt fan will not be disappointed. It was a decent value for me, however a bit pricey with some of the other prices I have seen. I think probably because Burt just recently passed. R.I.P.Read full review

I got the movie for my husband. He loves the part where the guy falls in the brier patch and they are taking out the brier needles. It's really a great movie to watch.
