As with other A&A boardgames, WWI 1914 captures the military struggle and dilemma of the stability of Europe during the Great War extremely well, but unlike most of the other titles in the A&A series, this game also takes into account certain political events that could possibly still play out as in history, or be prevented/encouraged in order to play to one's own strategy (America's late entrance into the war, and the Russian Bolshevik revolution). With eight powers involved in the game, this also allows for a larger group than normal with past titles. Play is very easy to understand after a few rounds and makes for a great all out game night with deep strategy and a variety of units at your disposal, including infantry, air support, artillery, naval units, and tanks introduced later in the game to match history. I have had extreme fun playing this and highly recommend it for those who are fans of Axis & Allies.Read full review
