We have read every Magic Treehouse book, numbers 1 through 35! My son started in First grade and finished just before the end of his Second grade year, this past June. He is also in speech therapy and struggled a little with reading until he started her books...and was in love! Osborne teaches history and writes from her own travels and Carnival at Candlelight is special to her because of their family trip to Europe during Carnival in Venice. Our family highly recommends this book!
I haven't read it all... yet. But I know I am going to love it. Because she writes the best books ever. The first time I ever heard it, actually it was read to me. In FIRST grade. The name of it was....DINOSAURS BEFORE DARK. Chapter 1 and that was when I started to idolize her books. My Mom bought me the whole Magic Tree House & Merlin Mission series, and I want to go back and read them all again in order. I am 9 years old and I live in SW FLORIDA. See ya
My son discovered the Magic Tree House series of books in 1st grade this year. This is one he hadn't read yet, so we purchsed it to add to his book collection. He loved the story.
My son just about has the whole series. He really loves these books. He says the Merlin Missions are the best!
The Magic Treehouse series by Mary Osborne are excellent for sharing with children learning how to read. These books are interesting and teach pieces of history drawing the child in to the story.
