Entertaining is not a word that applies to this product. It's sturdy and useful. The addition of small rubber pads on the bottom would stop it from sliding when being cranked. That can become annoying when used on a wood or any shiny surface.

The shuffler is made of well fitting plastic and is very easy to use, but it does have a problem. When cranking the handle it will at times grab 3 or more cards at one time which jams the shuffler up requiring that all the cards be taken out and reshuffled. It seems to do this more while shuffling 2 decks (which it is rated for) and less when only one deck is used. Nevertheless, this is a minor inconvenience and for the price it is still a good value and I would recommend it.

We have had two automatic card shufflers but always disappointed with them. This manual card shuffler is great. We use it a couple of times a week and it has been knocked off the table so many times but has yet to break ( thank goodness) but because we love and depend on it, we bought a second one just in case. The automatic shufflers get cards stuck and instantly jams up. But this manual card shuffler if it does get stuck, you simply reverse the crank and start again. So simple but so dependable it is great. thanks so much

We have had two previous battery models. After reading the reviews about the hand crank ones, I purchased one. It is the exact same quality as the battery models as far as the plastic durability and gears. The only difference is the hand crank. As long as you are careful, it does a pretty decent job of shuffling. The cards mostly shuffle one at a time on each side, sometimes two or three cards go through. We are very happy with it. We play Skip Bo at lot and it fills up the chamber plus some, so you really need a shuffler with those cards, plus they are slick and the shuffler handles them well. I would not let children play with it, as the crank could be very easily broken. Ours is actually a little crooked (due to quality). When I first put the crank in, it did not go all the way. You need to snap it in place. Also it cannot be removed for storage, so it sticks out and can get broke. Would definitely purchase it again and will buy another one for my mother's house.Read full review

I purchased this for my boyfriend who loves to play cards. He isn't the best at shuffling so I thought I'd try to find an automatic card shuffler. After reading reviews and doing a lot of looking online, I found this one. It doesn't need batteries as the reviews on those shufflers weren't the best. This one seemed to get really good ones. Well, we gave it a good workout and used it for over 3 hours. It worked flawlessly and everyone wanted a turn using it. It's easy to load, easy to retrieve the shuffled cards and though it's made of plastic, it was dropped on a carpeted floor and survived intact. I did want a more substantially made card shuffler but they go from modestly priced to way over my budget. This one does the job so give it a try.
