A documentary everyone should see. John and Yoko's vision was profound and important. What they had to say was simple and true; however, it was contrary to what our government wanted. Their message was so profound and scared to the government that he was finally assassinated. He was simply a musician with the courage to speak his mind.

Watching "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" (2006) DVD is an incredible treat. Not only was it a valuable history lesson of immigration, deportation legal matters, corruption & dirty commanders-in-chief but it was inspiring to hear perspectives from John Lennon's loved ones & legal advocates who stood for who John Lennon was as a possibility & who John Lennon remains to be in his music.

This is a great documentary which focuses on John Lennon's affect on historical events, his personal feelings and work within the avant-garde art works of Yoko's and his own from the late 1960s. Events like The Bed In for Peace, total communication, the writing of Give Peace a Chance, are covered well. The film also follows the court cases surrounding his and Yoko's issues with the immigration in America through the 1970s. Not too much music though, but the John Sinclair 1971 concert, 1972 Republican Convention, are discussed as well as the reasons J Edgar Hoover followed him so closely. Great film!
Always a big fan of Lennon and yes, I thought he and Yoko were very good together. This dvd took me back to my trials in Vietnam and it was impossible not to see so many similarities between Vietnam and Iraq. Two of the most unjust wars in our history, managed by the two most corrupt and power mad administrations America has ever seen. I enjoyed the video and felt empowered by the end to make my tired voice heard in opposition to the Bush administrations continued killing of young Americas in a war that can't be won. All we are saying, is give Peace a chance. jonathan Seattle
This DVD was stunning, as it took me back to the 60's when I lost friends and family during the Viet Nam catastrophe. More than 50,000 men from my generation lost their lives as a result. My fiance' was in the jungles, so everyday when we saw the news, it was strangling our lives with worry. We cried every day..."WHAT'S THE POINT?" The entire first line of my high school football team was killed...that's how it was. IRAQ is just beginning...don't let it happen again. I want to make a million copies of this DVD and drop it from the sky so more people will see it. I came across it by 'accident'. Suzi... ALL WE ARE ASKING IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
