For an independant movie this film was better than I had expected. Yes it's another serial killer movie with nothing special going for it but what else can you expect from an average low-budget horror movie. The acting wasn't top notch but like every low-budget movie I wasn't expecting anything but average. Although I have to mention the acting of one particular girl at the end of the film which I couldn't help but laugh at. Why she was cast is a mystery to me as her performance was a distraction from the film and way below the acting abilities of the rest of the cast. I was also surprised with the acting of the lead who portrayed Richard Speck as his performance was above the rest of the cast. The movie started off fairly strong and kept me interested all the way through with the help of the leads performance as some of the scenes didn't seem necessary. For the lead performance alone I gave a rating of Good rather than Average. It's worth checking out if you happen to see it sitting on the shelf of your local blockbusters.Read full review
This movie goes into great detail in regards to the slaughter of the 8 nurses by Richard Speck. The acting in this movie was really good. The only bad performance was that of Tony Todd. Andrew Divoff gives an outstanding performance as the detective that wouldn't give up until he caught this mass murderer. Mr. Divoff shows his great versatility as one of our most underrated character actors. The movie is very graphic in the details of the murder with lots of blood and shows what a truly sick individual Richard Speck was. The final scene in the movie is a shock.
this was a story about a guy who was a trouble maker and apparently a wife beater in texas as the flashbacks show.in his last bout with a judge he was sentenced to a shrink ,since his infraction was minor.richard dedides to hop a train and skip town.he makes his way to chicago.the movie does not show, but he somehow knows an intern nurse out there.he then later pays her a visit at the dorm the intern's stay at.one by one he kills them all but one.the last one testifies to have him incarecrated.tow stand out stars from other horror b-flicks are tony todd(candyman) and andrew divoff(the djinn series)
Good show.....

I enjoy watching serial killer movies. I brought this movie because I collect these type of movies. I did not know this ever took place in Chicago. It was interesting that he picked the nursing students. I am a nurse myself, and I was in shock that he raped and killed those students. He was a crazy individual.
