But that's to be expected, after all, it is a japanese import. It's basically a super smash bros tag tournament with anime characters. You don't just select one character before going into battle. You select a page, these pages are made up of panels, each featuring one character. You build your page of panels, selecting playable and support characters and then go into battle. You can save your panel combinations for easy access in the future. If you want to switch to a character in battle or use a support character you tap their panel on the touchscreen.

I heard everywhere that this is an excellent game. Import game reviewer "Jew Wario" from Blistered Thumbs at Thatguywiththeglasses.com said in his instructional video on how to play the game, "This isn't a 'You Can Play This'; this is a 'You MUST play this!'." I was excited to get to do melee combat with characters like Yugi and many other characters from my favorite Shonen Jump comics but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to because when I ordered this game, it didn't work on my DS. I used two of them and it said the card didn't register however the game worked perfectly fine for the orignal owner. So I suggest that if you're getting this game to get it brand new and do your research to make sure you don't need any other japanese import mods.
I wanted to be this game because I heard that it was really fun, and I also noticed that it has the same appeal as Super Smash Bros., as in how in Super Smash Bros. you play as your favourite Nintendo characters, in this game you play as your favourite Shounen Jump characters, which is pretty sweet. The game is really well developed and is a fun play, even with the constant language barrier that i experience since it is all in Japanese. I beat the game without even knowing what the story was, but I had fun altogether, you don't need to know what's going on in this game to have fun, which is clearly a sign of how sweet it is.
The game came at a good time, it was unopened, and I found the game very fun and addicting but it needs zatch bell characters and more death note characters. Otherwise, the graphics were pretty good for ds and matched the worlds very well. The music was typical fighter music, which is not a bad thing, and the atmosphere was excellent. I purchased this game, because I enjoy manga very much and I also enjoy this type of fighter. I would recommend this game to anyone that greatly enjoys manga. P.s. this game should have had rosarioxvampire characters. 4/5
This is my favorite game EVER. Imagine Super Smash Bros but replace the characters with Shonen Jump Manga/Anime characters then multiply that by 100. I multiply because in this game, you build your own "deck" filled with playable characters, support characters, and support stats/effects. Fully control what your team is comprised of and go battle! Seriously, just watch some gameplay videos. It's a shame they didn't make more. The new One Piece games are based on this but with way less depth. Playable on ANY 3DS (the game is NOT region locked!).
