It's in the title, this book is essential for anyone interested in good government and politics in general. These are the collected speeches of FDR. Not comprehensive, but certainly the most important of his career, these speeches represent not only the greatness of his oratory, but of his ideas. It is amazing to me that his blueprint for America is under attack every day by radical conservatives, when it has proven to work so well. This should be required reading for political science majors, because unlike his opponents, FDR's persuasiveness embodies the generosity, and idealism in the good people of this country instead of exploiting the greediness and divisiveness that we all are heirs to as well.
