I've always been a long time fan of The Three Stooges, and the wonderful TV movie was definitely worth the wait! Produced by Mel Gibson's Icon Production Company, with Gibson himself being a lifelong fan of the Stooges , this film was awesome! The actors Paul Ben-Victor, Evan Handler, Michael Chiklis and John Kassir did great playing the roles of Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Jerome "Curly" Howard, and Shemp Howard. Along with Joe Besser and "Curly" Joe DeRita, these six men comprised in my opinion, the greatest comedy team ever! Granted, there have been other great comedy teams such as Bud Abbot and Lou Costello, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, and The Marx Brothers, none of these individuals could ever hold a candle in comparison with these comic geniuses. I used to watch the classic black and white shorts alongside the live-action wraparounds and cartoons of "The New Three Stooges" cartoon series back in the day on KRBK TV Channel #31 back in the day! In my opinion, Michael Chiklis should've been nominated for an Emmy award for his portrayal of Curly Howard. It was really difficult for me to watch him when his health had started to deteriorate and he was reduced to a I love that movie! 😊😉barely noticed non speaking indigent. Shemp Howard had some personal problems himself up until his death. As one of the original Stooges before he left the act and was replaced with his younger brother and then returned after Curly had suffered a stroke. Shemp did have his moments, but realistically, he couldn't get under from Curly's shadow. This film was also way better than the 2012 comedy fiim!Read full review

As other reviews have said, this film is indeed very good but I highly recommend NOT buying it. THIS IS A DVD-R!!! Sony released a far inferior product than could ever be expected. There is no menu or captioning. The definition of the transfer is equivalent to a VHS tape at best. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK! ASK BEFORE YOU BUY!!

I believe this was a made for TV movie and alot of people missed seeing this. If you are a true Stooges fan, this will bring a sad tear to your eye at some parts like the decline of Curly's health and Shemp's issues with performing, to a happy tear at the very end of the story. This is a must see! They are "made to order" so if you order it new it will take awhile to get. If you can find a good used copy, go for it! I did and I'm glad to add it to my Stooges collection!

Everything is good about the movie, tells the whole entire true story of the popular comedy team of the 1930's up to the 1970s about their lives and career.

I'm a fan of non-fiction, also I grew up watching The Three Stooges. The stories from behind the scenes are what interest me the most and learning about the ups and downs of the performers add a human touch to their lives. Shemp and Curlie's lives behind the camera and their sad endings were very emotional.
