This book is one of the most influential of writings in the 20th century. Hayek, writing years before the truths of his warnings became apparent, made explicit arguments against the concept of central planning(a la federal governments), which he perceived as dangerous to a nation's economy. When I read this, his thoughts would have you concentrating on one idea, then he would tie that idea in with a larger concept a few pages later. Simply brillant man. I will tell the reader that this writing, completed back in the mid-1940's, is in print and has sold over 6,000 copies in CHINESE 70 years later. Let me warn you though, if you ever had a warm feeling for the democratic party or their hardline candidates...after reading this you may never vote for a liberal again!!
