This is an excellent entry in the crime series featuring Eve Dallas as a police detective in a darkly futuristic New York City. This time Dallas is confronted with a baffling crime involving stolen human organs and messy human emotions. When she is suddenly accused of a crime against one of her own colleagues, Dallas finds herself fighting not only for justice, but for her badge, and her very life. The book manages to combine shocking violence, intriguing characters, and an intricate plot, with a touch of romance for a tasty crime novel treat. It's well worth reading, but I definitely recommend reading this series in chronological order for the most satisfying experience. "Conspiracy in Death" is the eighth title in the series.
If you are a fan of the series, you will enjoy Conspiracy in Death. In this chapter of Eve's life, she comes directly up against her worst fear, losing her badge. The description of her internal conflict and the pain this causes those around her makes the reader almost "feel" what she is feeling. It's a good read. And it is completely faithful to the Eve character the author has created in this series.
I bought this book by Nora Roberts "Conspiracy in Death" for my sister who lives out of state. She had been looking for this copy to add to her collection. I got a terrific price for it and sent it to her. She was so pleased with the condition of the book. No dislikes with this book. I'm not an advid Nora Roberts fan, but my sister says she's one of the most talented authors there is.
Item came quickly in good shape. Trying to read them all but there are a ton in this series.
