I read this book in 1999, when I was covering from breast cancer. This book had such a profound effect on the way I viewed my approach to my illness that I could only stand to read a few pages at a time. Sometimes, I would weep with grief from its insights about loss (especially the loss of control one feels when one becomes so ill). When I finished treatment, I felt a profound sense of loss because radiation and chemo were over--what else could I do to ensure I was doing all I could to prevent recurrence? Myss' book answered that question, and many others, for me, inspiriting quiet, but life-changing revolutions in my thinking about my body and my immortal soul and how they meet. I now give this book to anyone facing a major illness. Here is a word I almost never use under any circumstance: "Anatomy of the Spirit" is a POWERFUL tool to have by your side when you come face-to-face with your mortality and/or the prospect of picking up and continuing your disrupted life. Everyone should read this book.Read full review
Insightful. Extracted and combined similarities of different spiritual trains of thought. Presents uncommon perspectives from other books I have read. Found myself highlighting. More to go---
