This is THE best educational guide on collecting Star Wars figures. Published in 2003, its initial print run has sold out. It has outstanding color pictures and data. A true necessity for serious Star Wars collectors. Two similar new books are in the works for 2009, by Todd DeMartino and Gus Lopez respectively. These two books will follow in Mr. Kellerman's footsteps and and try to further the extensive research and wonderful detail provided in "Star Wars Vintage Action Figures - A Guide for Collectors." Even with new books forthcoming, no collector's shelf is complete without this ground breaking work. Highly recommended!
The old saying that "a picture is worth a thousand words" certainly applies to this guide on vintage Star Wars Action Figures by John Kellerman. The photography of the many carded and hard-to-find examples of action figures is first-rate, user friendly, and serves as a tremendous reference for experienced or first-time collectors. Additionally, this book covers rare and often scarce examples of figure multi-packs, store displays, special offers, and play sets. Whether you collect vintage figures loose, from a particular movie, a certain card back, or you collect them all this book is a must have!
A Excellent reference guide that any Vintage Star wars collector should have. The thing I loved most about this book is all the pics for reference, and the weapons listing. I decided to but this book because it will always be a timeless resource when ever I need to refer too it.
