This book covered an era of baseball when I was just starting into sports a I became a great DODGER fan especially the fall of 1955 and the YANKS AND DODGER SERIES. We had no TV so what I listen to was a radio in grade school as I passed through the cafeteria lunch line. Only when Dad came home after 5 pm did I get the final results. I can still hear the call by Mel Allen of all of the games. Its hard to believe the DUKE is the last living player from that team of great ones. I believe a limited reading audience from my age would really love this book. I was raised in a small ranching and farming community in central Texas and 10 years after WW II no money but innocent dreams and many imagined world series my brother and I played after chores. Love you DUKE
