Every time that I would walk into a Macy's store around Christmas time the ladies at the Chanel counter would run up to me drenching me in what I always thought to be the most hard-core old lady scents around! Ugh! Then one day something different happened...I chanced upon spraying Chanel Allure on my jacket sleeve and as always was not very happy with that strong Chanel smell it left on me, BUT about fifteen minutes later as I was walking home I kept smelling something so clean in the air around me almost like a lady-like bubble bath! I thought surely it was someone else, but upon smelling my sleeve I realized that it was me! $120 later I became a permanent Chanel customer. At first I thought that I made a mistake because I wasn't sure if I truly liked it. I used it for a week and then put it away for a couple months. I decided to give it another whirl and realized that I love it! At first it just took me a bit to get used to the initial strong scent. (I'm used to wearing Bulgari Blue Notte which is very light.) I now receive so many compliments on my perfume it's unbelievable! It even holds up in smoky environments. I would recommend starting the day with the eau de parfum to set the stage, so to speak, and then spraying yourself here and there with the eau de toilette so as not to gas people out around you. I have never used the strongest version which is the highly concentrated straight parfum but this scent is of such a perfect quality that I don't think that you need to make such a pricey investment. The eau de perfume holds up quite well throughout the entire day and night and it also smells fabulous on hair and clothing! This is something that every lady should have in their boudoir even if just to use occasionly for that special night out. Even if you don't like it your man will! It's a warm scent that smells comforting and confidently sexy. It also works on people who normally can't get away with wearing warm scents! Trust me...I actually got out of getting in trouble for being late to work because my manager said, "Well, at least you smell amazing!" This scent is definitely worth trying!
