I love this book. It was very life changing for me. I’ve been wanting to better be able to communicate sentiments to people in various situations and this book gives some excellent examples of how to do that. Because of this book, I’ve started being more loudly appreciative of people in my life. I’ve been ill for years from Lyme disease and mold illness and there’s quite a few people I appreciate greatly for their support and encouragement. After reading this book I was inspired to write them letters - some serious, some more fun - to let them know I appreciate them and what exactly I appreciate them for. I think I benefitted more from it than the recipients! I forgot about the book for many months but still was inspired to be loudly appreciative, supportive and encouraging to others. Then fb reminded me of this book and how it impacted me- I couldn’t find my copy- I must’ve loaned it out or passed it on, so I ordered a couple more copies. Great book, great ideas and good examples of things to write/do for ppl who you want to support or encourage. Helps you to know what to say when you don’t know what to say. I love this book and highly recommended it. 'Silent gratitude isn't much use to anyone.' — Gertrude SteinRead full review

I purchased this book after seeing it in a store and reading about it online. The book doesn't have the depth of information I was seeking. I was looking for ideas relative to very personal creative letter writing rather than using someone else's poetry to insert in letters. I will have to find another book to meet my needs.
