Done 6 small to medium size bicep tattoos with this, both lining and shading and it has worked very well with both cartridge and traditional needles. For the price this is definitely not a bad machine and works well, once again, for the price. It’s not gonna run or feel like a Cheyenne or other more quality brands It is very lightweight, quiet, and runs smooth. A couple of professional tattoo artist actually gave each other tattoos with it and stated that it wasn’t a bad machine. Great for beginners and Ready to tattoo right out of the box, I recommend this to anybody that would like to start learning how to tattoo and want to buy their own cheap hardware. But it is highly recommended in my opinion that you go to a tattoo shop get an apprenticeship and study under the influence and mentor ship of a professional nothing will outweigh that experience but for people like me you have to start somewhere when that is an option.Read full review

Item seemed good and all, but the motor died after just a couple of sessions. Which is a shame really, because when the machine worked I found it hurt much much less than a coil machine. Sadly after the motor died, I had to have my piece finished with a coil machine, the difference in pain is really noticeable. My suggestion would be not to wrap your rubber bands very tight at all if you intend to use rubber bands with this machine. It could be that the rubber bands generate too much tension and assist in burning the motor out. The motor now will only move if motivated to, and the machine can only run a 3-5 volts now, and can easily be stopped with the fingers. So if you are buying this machine, I would get an extra motor or two. Also disposable grips and tubes are too long for this machine, you would need to cut about half an inch off of them, this isn't really a problem as long as you can re sterilize. But advertising that it can use all standard needles and such is a bit misleading. If my artist had not had a spare coil machine, I would have had an unfinished piece. Again when the machine was working it really put ink in my skin very comfortably, and lines looked good.Read full review

Light weight easy to use and manuver less stress on the hand and wrist significant reduction in vibration and noise level easy set up and disposal of used needles , could possibly be built a little bit more on the heavy duty side but happy over all.

I like rotary better than coil personally, but with that being said You would get a more useful little coil machine at the 8 to 10 dollar range... Or better yet pickup a little off brand dragonfly for 16 to 20 dollars, they work good. This machine however is useless even for the $.

I used to tattoo my fellow sailors while serving in the Navy, and my machine was an old tape recorder motor and a guitar string. It was crude but it worked good. This rotory machine sings great if you set it up right, it can handle some shading, it's that strong.
