I would suggest this video to anyone who is looking to start a regular workout regime because it gives you different workouts for each day of the week! I workout regularly and this workout video kicked my butt! I am still sore 3 days after doing the 'last chance workout'! ALSO great because you only need dumbells to do the workout!
There are only 3 go to DVD's I choose when I want to lose weight. Results fitness 10 days to a better body, anything Billy Blanks and The Biggest Loser's Last Chance Workout. Any of these choices always get me results within a week or two. Last Chance workout is in my opinion better than 30 Day Shred because it progresses in the amount of time you work out. It starts out 30 minutes a day 6 days a week and progresses to 55 minutes a day six days a week. It's the same format as 30 days shred but longer. The first week may seem easy to some but just wait you will add on workouts every two weeks! I love this dvd because it has the plan on the dvd all you have to do is select the week and day and it plays all of the workouts for that day. The workouts are no joke! I sweat every single day! It doesn't get any easier either as you progress through the weeks. I used weights weighing 6,7,12,15,20 lbs. As the weeks progressed I progressed with my weights. This workout will take off inches like crazy! It will take away bloat and pounds! It may seem easy at times but trust me it's for a reason because the next circuit will be harder! There is a lot of high impact moves in this workout so if you have injuries please follow the low impact moves. I can't stress enough if you follow this program all the way through to the end YOU WILL SEE RESULTS! Keep portion sizes under control, don't over snack and moderation for those items that cause weight gain and you are good to go. No extreme diets needed. I did 3 meals a day plus one snack and a dessert lol and lots of water. All of bloating and fat rolls disappeared. My lower hanging belly reduced more than it ever has! You will also tone up depending on your genetics because there are a lot of toning exercises. I saw the most results in my legs and my breathing. I was always out of breath the first 2 weeks but that improved dramatically. I noticed just walking or doing other activities I wasn't out of breath any more. Your endurance will be through the roof also after the first 3 weeks. You will be able to workout longer after this workout. If you find that it feels too easy remember the time will increase every 2 weeks or you can use heavier weights to bump up the intensity. This is a DVD you could do more than one round until you reach your goals. You don't have to do 6 weeks and stop. You can do round after round or you can move on to body revolution or other Jillian DVDs. My stats are I have been using this dvd since I was in my 40's and now I am 52 and still use it. I have exercised the majority of my life. I have a slow thyroid and weight is hard for me to keep off even with a good diet. I always have to exercise hard to see results. That's the way my body works. That being said this dvd will work for those who don't have a stubborn body or ones who do. No matter how your body is this dvd will break you out of that plateau! This DVD is excellent. It feels like Gillian is talking right to you. I also enjoy working out with the BL contestants. You can focus on them and try to keep pace with them. Each contestant performs at a different level. I try to stay with Sione and Tara. They are the most advanced. There is a warm up, a last chance work out, and individual upper body and lower body work outs. It is non stop and you will be sweating your but off but in the end you'll feel great!!!
I have a collection of videos because usually I get bored with them after 2 or 3 work outs. Not the case with this one, it is high energy and exciting. This video is actually a small collection of video segments. Everything is clearly labeled for which segments to do on what day of the week, taking the guess work out of sitting up your program. No one movement is overly difficult, but the combination and consistency of the movements make this an extremely effective workout anybody can do.
