I bought this book because I love the author's style. I have bought several other books she has written. Her style abd directions are clear enough for someone who has never had art lessons. I want to paint rocks for family gifts. She gives you ideas for practicing, helps for troubleshooting and directions so you can use this information in other ways not just rendering what she has done. Eg. You can use her info, get a picture of a friend's pet and be able to paint it on a rock. I love her creative spirit!!! I can't wait to get started. Her books are just fun to read too!
All the books are very easy to understand the art of rock painting. It is a must have book for those that want to express them selves in the art of animal painting on rocks. I highly recommend these books written by Lin Wellwood , very easy to understand .

I belong to a local rock club and decided to paint rocks to sell to the kids at the fairs The kids love them there are all kinds of designs to paint and its targeted especially toward the kids and some adults seem to get a kick out of them too, The Lin Welford books that I bought on e-bay are easy to paint , full of ideas and loads of fun we have even taken to finding rocks on camping trips and painting them (my grandkids and I ) and leaving then in places off the road for other campers to find we have had a great time, for anyone looking for a fun hobby i highly recomend her books I don't think you'll regret it Ronda Hardy
This book looks amazing. Will try the process out, but not sure I have enough talent to make them look as good as she does. I'll have to learn to recognize the right shaped rocks and what to paint on them. Well worth the money for the book

I have been painting on rocks for some time and was happy to find this book with so many great patterns. The illustrations were very clear and easy to follow. I like this book very much and will be looking for more on ebay.
