okay, so we're all supposedly on the same page now? men are different from women, right? they are from mars and we women's are from venus. opposites attract. the old yin yang strikes again and again doesn't it? well alright, we're from different planets in "some" ways, and the same planet in "other" ways. the truth is i don't think anyone will ever really figure it all out, and that's probably for the best anyway, otherwise we wouldn't have so much fun driving each other completely insane so much of the time! Just think how boring it would be, anyway, it does offer some pretty good insights for the older dogs (baby boomers) if they even care anymore. And for the younger crowd gen. x, they're not listening to anyone anyway, so they may find a different reality altogether than all this constant co-dependent analyzing we've all been doing for so long now that it's enough to make us all sick. Men are still cromagnon skull crackers. Women are still sitting around the home fires with the children. It's a God thing, what else can be said about it. Genetics. The only way someone could ensure survival of the human species (at least for awhile.)Read full review
As a senior high school teacher, I have a project where the students get to pick a non-fiction book on their own and do a project on it. Over the last several years, this book has been a constant favorite: It generates discussion, the kids pass it around, some report talking to thier parents about it. To their parents! We do very little in high school to really prepare students for life or relationships beyond letting them date; this book brings up topics that they are interested in and have not thought about. It may have been written for adults, but it works better as preparation than explanation. It gives them a chance to see their relationships from a different point of view. The only problem is keeping the "discussion" between the boys and girls from getting too heated.
This book is literally the best thing you could possibly get in seeking advice & understanding between the sexes because there is such a vast difference in the way men & women think. I’m a 52 year old woman who’s been married for almost 23 years, & I encouraged my daughter to get this book because she just beginning a relationship. In my 20s, my mother had made me promise I’d read it someday, but unfortunately, I’ve waited until now. All I can say is, I can’t believe how much just a small portion has helped my understanding in why I shouldn’t get offended with typical male characteristics that we as women struggle with in a marriage. They really are from Mars! I believe it would also be extremely beneficial for a man in helping him understand that our needs are different than his. I wish I had done this long ago, as it totally bridges the communication gap & helps you to understand your partner’s needs & way of thinking. I know everyone is an individual, but there are definitely male & female characteristics that causes misunderstanding in relationships that no one can deny. The author has incredible insight & experience, with a touch of humor throughout the book, along with a very simple way of explaining the differences between the female & male way of thinking & emotional needs. This book provides excellent materials for couples before marriage or those who have been married for many years. I am using it with a couple now and have given them 3 assignments to each chapter. 1. What have you learned about yourself? 2. What have you learned about your spouse? 3. How can you use what you have learned? I highly recommend this book.

This is a nice book, i would also recommend to see one more article on the same line, which describes teaching men how to be more loving, understanding and appreciative of women. It is based upon the information contained in the book "What Every Man Should Know About Women" by Les Morgenstern. "What Every Man Should Know About Women" is the first transcultural book that teaches men from anywhere in the world everything they need to know about women that is both logical and predictable. This knowledge allows any man from any culture to understand, love and appreciate any woman from any culture regardless of her age, race, religion, political persuasion, geographical location or levels of income, education or sophistication.
