Other than the short eye relief, you can use this at a normal eye relief without a problem. You don't get a full view of windage, but you do see the entire reticle. I feel this makes using both eyes much easier. The glass is absolutely crystal clear and so is the reticle. The green can blend into other greens but I can still see it, not an issue. It's expensive but I feel it was worth the price!

I was skeptical about buying a scope that cost more than most of my rifles. When I finally bought this ACOG TA31 for my ar, I have not missed that money one bit. In fact I have been in search of more Trijicon products. This was for my primary nitetime coyote calling rifle. 4x is perfect, I thought I wanted crosshairs but got a deal on this with the chevron and it is perfect. No regrets. It lights up great in day and perfect at night. Very fast sight alignment and crystal clear glass. If you can afford one or find a deal on one, my suggestion is - close your eyes, open your wallet and buy it.
Because the world is getting smaller with more & more crazy walking our streets & our country,, it's best to be a boyscout!! be prepared,, food/ guns & ammo!! I read all the reviews i could find about these GREAT scopes,, made in the USA,, carried by our Seals why not have the best?? Easy to mount,, easy to sight in,, LOVE IT.. Alittle spendy,, but worth the extra $$$.. Looking to buy another one for a different rifle and different reason..
The Trijicon ACOG TA31 is wonderful. I feared that the scope would lose point of aim due to the recoil of the rifle, but that was not an issue. The scope is of the highest quality and workmanship. I would definitely recommend this scope to anyone looking for a medium range optical tool. The scope can be pressed into use as a long range tool as well but in my opinion is designed for distances of 400 meters or less.
Trijicon is #1 in my book. What an exemplary optic. 4x32 glass performs better than 10x glass from inferior manufacturers. Military grade is "The" way to go. Wouldn't change it for any other optic.
