Admittedly, and quite frankly, I know very little about this music. I bought the CD for research purposes. It does provide some explanation though it does not go into depth or explain much about "how" to recite portions of the haggadah represented on the recording. I will say, however, that I cannot imagine the average celebrant reciting the kiddush with quite the flair demonstrated on the CD. It was positively operatic. The singers have good voices and it was fairly pleasant to listen to, though perhaps a bit repetitive and not nearly as celebratory in nature as I had expected. Maybe it is supposed to be more solemn? As I said, I am quite the novice.
You can not judge a book by it's cover and you never know what a cd is really going to sound like. It was not my style music. It was very classical and operatic I f I could have listen first I would not have bought it oh well like I said you can not judge a cd with out hearing it. I suppose seller could have listened and let buyer know what style it was.

Wonderful CD for Passover. Not many choices out there....this will do the trick. We had guests that were not familiar with the service, this was a lovely background. Has the feel of having your own Cantor present.
