I purchased 4 of the bread & butter plates to use as appetizer dishes along with other Noritake patterns to use for this purpose. Because the pattern was so striking, I decided to purchase a set of 16 plates, 16 salad plates, 16 bread and butter plates, and 15 berry bowls. Now I can use these for entertaining. Since my family has outgrown my original set of 12 wedding dishes, these will serve as a nice supplement. The border is particularly striking while the flowers are not overpowering to the pattern. I recommend this pattern to anyone interested.
