Ironically enough, I got my copy at a Goodwill. It was so good and informative that I bought this copy for a management friend of mine. I am a passionate advocate for all of Patrick Lencioni's books. These are always small, concise, and easy to read for anyone in management, not just CEOs. Lencioni pulls from his own experience to highlight ways an organization's infrastructure can be altered and it's values better communicated, resulting in more uniformity and driven employees. This book is no exception. In this book, Lencioni highlights five responsibilities that CEOs often falsely believe they are fulfilling when in actuality they are upholding different, similar values. Whilst Lencioni uses "CEO" to describe those he helps in the text, the advice he offers can be beneficial for any department leader in an organization. In short, this is an excellent resource both for those who feel they are doing all the right things but are still in crisis mode in the workplace with results far below what they need to achieve or even individuals who are not but would like to understand the informed guidelines of a seasoned leadership professional. It's a powerful tool for self assessment and strategy.Read full review

Patrick Lencioni is awesome and this "older" publication is great - the beginning of his leadership and team development masterpieces! THe way the captures non-fictional truths in a fictional fable is great and the key points raised are great. These are truly temptations that we all face and the principals can be applied in the workplace or home, immediately! I got this dirt cheap on EBAY w/ free shipping - save $20 but gained an invaluable lesson! I highly recommend this!
Lencioni books tend to be easy reads because he has a story line associated with his books. I found myself unable to want to put the book down because I wanted to know what happened. It was an easy read and pretty short. I get bored easily with reading but not with this book. Can't wait to finish the rest!
I enjoyed this book immensely. Lencioni has a very easy-to-read writing style, and the book is full of common sense and "aha" points. I highly recommend it.
Great book, but not worth $25 like the cover says. I was happy with this purchase and am planning on lending it to others.
