Nothing since "A Woman of Substance" comes close to it in character development and 'can't lay it down' suspense. I have every book written by Barbara Taylor Bradford and I love fantasizing about the world of the rich and pompous but would never yearn to be part of it. These modern characters in "Being Elizabeth" lack the depth and fortitude of their ancesters unfortunately.
What a wonderful read. The book reads like a chick flick. Nothing to heavy. But it's written in thw early 1920's so there is alott of history. I love books by Barbara Taylor Bradford as well as Danielle Steel. Enjoy
Liked the book very much true to form she always comes up with a very good read. I have read nearly every book she has written they are easy reading.
