I just bought this DVD, i've had this title for many years probably since 1990 on the japanese 12" laserdisc video & the sound quality is very good as well as the video picture quality, but, as far as i'm concerned, compared to the laserdisc in a scale of 1-10, I give it an 8. The laserdisc looks more live, the DVD looks like they took like 20% away from the live lookness & tried to make it look like a movie. Not a bad release for DVD, but no comparison to the japanese laserdisc video, but would still recommend you go out & buy it, OH & to avoid any more confusion, this DVD concert IS NOT the same songs as Ozzy's Speak Of The Devil 2 LP/CD live album recorded at the Ritz in NYC on 9/82, the LP is BLACK SABBATH cover songs only, this live DVD is OZZY solo songs & contains just 3 Sabbath songs & was recorded at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre on 6/12/82, so NO relation between the LP/CD & the new DVD out.Read full review
I remember watching this on MTV back in the 80's! Glad to have my own copy as I have not seen this on YouTube. This was probably the coolest stage setting anyone ever had in heavy metal! (well maybe just shy of Maiden's World Slavery tour) Ozzy is out of his mind and in full form shortly after losing his young guitar virtuoso Randy Rhoads to an airplane crash. Ozzy along with now legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo, Night Ranger guitarist Brad Gillis, Tommy Aldridge on drums and Don Airey on keyboards cloaked in mock castle tower rip through songs from the 1st 2 classic Ozzy albums as well as a few Black Sabbath classics! This dvd rules!
