First before going into detail, let me just say that I'm a 1st gen pony fan and grew up with this title. It is a great title fan any fan of any age, there are 65 episode in the collection, the thing about that is; the episodes are only 10-11 min. long. Shorter than your normal show, you can run through this series in half a day if you watched non-stop (Unlike the current MLP series), still it's a great series. Most episodes are Multi-part stories (fact is the 1st on has 10 parts) and there are some which seem as though they're out of order, but that's only a minor thing. Going further into the series, the stories are often simple; in a place called Ponyland, different types of ponies live in a magical land along with their dragon friend Spike, and other magical creatures(Bushwoolies, Furbobs. etc.) They also get help from their friend Megan, and her brother and sister. Throughout the series, there are numerous problems/obstacles/events that they have to face and overcome. However this does not happen in every episode, more often in the multi-part ones. In most episodes they deal with some sort of villain whether it is one or a group of them. Somehow they always prevail, which is as it should be. Personally, I have a few favorite episodes of the show. they are as follows: The Great Rainbow Caper Pony Puppy Sweet Stuff and the Treasure Hunt Little Piece of Magic The Ice Cream Wars These are but a few of the episodes. They're all great and I recommend that you watch this title from start to finish before making your own decision. All in all, whether you're a long time fan,a current fan of the latest MLP, or just learned about the series, you would love this classic title and the tales within its episodes. I know I love them and watch it often. But don't just take my word for it. Buy it yourself, and make your own decision. Either way this classic title is where the whole Phenomenon of MLP started.
