I highly recommend this book. I also highly recommend getting it used. Honestly, what got me going was a couple of weeks ago picking up a nice new Ansel Adams book in a retail store for $40 + tax or whatever it was. This is a better book in all respects and online it was peanuts to buy. How's the book itself? It's great. Some of the photos, from likely the most well known photographer of all, are ho hum. Really, that's how it is. Most artists are remembered for the heights that they reach with their absolute best work. That stuff is here too. The timing and luck involved in getting some of these photos is quite something. That's not my opinion, that's essentially what the artist says in the notes. Don't keep looking at one thing and hoping while something may well be just right behind you. Yes, you do have to be ready when it's there. That's the idea. All in all, a great book. I'll look it over again many times and notice more things that I've overlooked on first perusal. That's a good thing. Well worth the purchase. Get it.Read full review
