Excellent book, like it says, its the history of the 503 tank battalion in WW2,excellent pictures, most id never seen before,Ive heard rumors these books were made in hardback at one time and supposedly the pictures are much clearer and the books are better quality. I haven't had the luck of seeing them in the hardback format so i assume they are long out of print,I'm happy at least these are still being printed, there are a lot of interesting anecdotes and funny moments in a rather bleak and dangerous existence which was the tank crew service in WW2,lost of good info also and just a great book overall. I guess the only complaint i have is a very small part of the translation is not very good, this is pretty common with German authors translating a book to English,in the book this doesn't happen excessively but it does happen and it can leave you going ?? there is part where it says that the crew "welded" together, i believe what they mean its that they "bonded" together as a crew, bonded and welded could be interpreted as the same thing in a translation, this is not a big deal at all and again this is a outstanding book that deserves to be in your library, i highly recommended.
