The detailed info on the US Navy's WW II battleship fleet was excellentl The chronological coverage showed how the fleet grew in size and usage during the war. An excellent value for such a wealth of information

While this book pre-dates "Aircraft Carriers of the U.S. Navy" by S. Terzibaschitch, in fact, I purchased them in reverse order. I give it the rating of "Excellent," though "Very Good" would be more appropriate. The technical drawings did not seem to be as accurate as "Aircraft Carriers" and there were a few rather obvious omissions and/or errors. Also, some of the quality of the photographs leaves a bit to be desired. I purchased the book because I am a modeller and interested in naval history. Generally, it is valuable as a research item, though it would be of more value if it was updated and the few technical errors corrected.
A very good reference book on all classes of battleships during the war Great info on layouts and refits as well
