This was just an OK story. Glad I bought it on Ebay for a greatly reduced price. The heroine witnessed a murder and the hero's brother is suspected of the murder/suicide. The hero and the heroine join forces and become embroiled in a hunt for lost Faberge eggs from Russia and the 'Collector' who they think was behind the murder/suicide. Frankly the real 'Collector' in this story was Nora Roberts who seemed to have collected ideas from other writers. The female protagonist writes YA novels about teenage werewolves (a 3 part series). Ring a bell ? (Twilight?) Her writer's name was similar to E.L. James (yet another nod.) A main location setting was Italy and if you read Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code or his most recent novel the locations would have been extremely familiar not to mention the ideas from his books which also involve hunting down historical artifacts. Were his books used as research? The main characters were not terribly interesting. Also hard to believe a handsome, nice guy from a super rich East Coast family would be into the female protagonist and SHE would have commitment issues. Typical Nora Roberts characters. She should read "Gone Girl" for believable characters. Oh yes the love scenes -not really hot nor romantic. She can't write them the way Sandra Brown does.Read full review
The book was in great condition and I have not read it yet but look forward to it. I am sure it will be. The purchase was quick and will definitely purchase from here again. Keep up the good job.
