just used on of these in Yuma last weekend to tender three deer. the bulb on the end keeps you from finding the gut sack by accident, like my friend did on his deer with a gut hook / knife combo I have the Kodiak kit and the sharpener with the kit worked fine on this to keep the blade razor sharp . blade folds back into handle to make a compact knife . overall closed it's about 5 .5 inches and about 3/8 wide, has a clip for your pocket also. The Good- lightweight, and the Price was under $20, as its a liner lock it will be easy to access the internals to clean. The Bad -Feels like a under $20 dollar knife- one of the handles is plastic and the other is anodized aluminum- also the thumb stud is hard to use, it needs a larger radius cut into the handle or a taller stud. End thoughts- I like Outdoor edge products and with a little tweaking and a different handle it will find a home in my hunting pack

The blade will do its job but the handle is fairly light weight compared to my other outdoor edge knives. Another very strange thing is the handle is orange on one side as shown and the other side is black which they never show. I ordered orange so I would not lose it or leave it behind out in the woods after field dressing an animal. It will do the job, but ultimately a half hearted effort from outdoor edge compared to their other outstanding products.

Outdoor edge makes really nice stuff. Works as a tool, and can't be called a weapon, but is wicked in its own way. Good to keep in the car.
