This is the 2nd volume of TNA's "Best of the Bloodiest Brawls" DVD series, however is only the 2nd after TNA got a major DVD release deal. TNA released a DVD WAY back in the day with the title "Best of the Bloodiest Brawls" and is not the one you think it is. Sacrifice 2005 Rhino vs. Jeff Jarrett (NWA World Title Match) Lethal Lockdown 2006 Sting, AJ Styles, The Truth & Rhino vs. Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner & AMW (Lethal Lockdown) Bound for Glory 2006 AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. LAX (Six Sides of Steel) This match is great. Seeing AJ and Daniels teaming up is awesome, especially knowing the history. LAX is in my opinion the best ORIGINAL tag team TNA ever had. They were VERY good as a heel team and their ring work is great. A fork, a clothes hanger being used by Konnan to choke Daniels from outside the cage, high spots including one from Hernandez! Lots of drama and violence. iMPACT! November 2006 Rhino vs. Christian (Barbed Wire Steel Cage) Genesis 2006 Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (Match of the Decade) This match is REALLY amazing. However, it's not very bloody by comparison. Best WRESTLING match on the DVD, but lower in the Bloodiest category. Destination X 2007 Sting vs. Abyss (Last Rights Match) This is TNA's (Vince Russo's) attempt at WWE's Casket Match, and a Japanese Deathmatch. It is good, but fails in a big way. Not because the guys in it are bad, not that the match gimmick isn't cool, but the corny little accessories like plastic candles in every corner, cheap breakable tombstones and the coffin (or "Death Bed") being lowered from the cieling with flashing lights and a smoke machine. The match is VERY brutal, even for Abyss and especially for Sting. Bravo to TNA for not editing out the crowd chant of "FIRE RUSSO." Sacrifice 2007 James Storm vs. Chris Harris (Texas Deathmatch) This match is BLOODY!!! This match is the single bloodiest match on the DVD. There is so much blood loss, I thought Storm was going to die. He bled so much that he required an I.V. after the match. The camera guy zoomed in on Harris while he was cutting his forhead which is disappointing and so is the fact that the beer bottle spot was done with a bottle that was obviously fake glass because beer bottles don't break like that. I know, it's a show, but I like to let myself believe it's real. A mark by choice. Other than that this match is the bloodiest on the DVD. Slammiversary 2007 Abyss vs. Tomko (No DQ Match) This match is lame because for some reason TNA decided to fake a lot of it. A Barbed Wire Bat with most of the barbs cut, the high spot was heavily padded, the glass was fake. Real glass isn't clear, it has an aqua color. Not to mention glass actually CUTS you!! Against All Odds 2008 Abyss vs. Judas Mesias (Barbed Wire Massacre 2) This match was way better than the original with Abyss & Sabu. Speaking of that match let me point something out. During THIS match Teney makes a comment about Abyss BEATING Sabu in the first match. This is false. Just go watch volume 1, it has THAT match. Sabu won, NOT Abyss. Anyway this match is Judas Mesias (aka Ricky Banderas) in his feud with Abyss. The match is no holds barred and there are no punches pulled with this Barbed Wire. This match surpasses the original in every way in my opinion. If this review was helpful, insightful or informative, please rate it to help other eBay members see my review. Check my other reviews!!
