Excellent viewing, especially having viewed "Eleanor & Franklin" recently. The historical photos were fascinating. More detail about his presidency would be great, but that would require at least another two DVD discs.

This is an AWESOME documentary!! I recommend this to young and old!! Even our 8 year old boys saw it and loved it! It is a 2 part Dvd. To see how President Roosevelt started out with his political ambitions, his presidency, the struggles of the Great Depression, his affair with another women and his untimely death while still the President of the US is beyond any classroom instruction. The old file footage is amazing!! It shows what lengths he and his family went through to hide his disability from the public. After watching this you felt like you knew this president. He truly was the people's president! He listened to their pain during such a horrible time in our country!
It was better than l thought it was going to be. There was a picture of my grandfather in the film. My grandfather was a editor of the Kingston Daily Freeman and stated he talked to the President often.

David Grubin did an outstanding job telling the life story of FDR, one of the most controversial presidents in American history. Even if you hate history and have no interest in FDR, you'll be amazed at the rise of power of this individual and wonder how he became the savior of the United States during the great depression.
