if you loved Joe Jackson's debut, "Look Sharp," then consider this a worthy successor. Joe Jackson's second album: "I'm The Man" was recorded with the same group of musicians as his previous effort and showcases in Joe's own approximation, a slightly more mature approach to his songwriting without sacrificing the intensity and wry sarcasm of his debut. This album features the single, "It's Different For Girls" which is one of my very favorite tracks in the Joe Jackson songbook. This newly remastered version also features a live version of "Come On" as a bonus track that I originally only knew as the debut single released by the Rolling Stones. Originally a Chuck Berry tune, this track is also a worthy addition to the original album-it captures all the urgency and tight musicianship of his original band in a live setting. If you are a fan of Joe Jackson's early output (as I am) this is a 'must buy'!Read full review

Joe Jackson's second album may not be as good as his first but it still has a lot of quality stuff on here. Jackson would start to radically change his sound and style over his next couple of albums but his first two albums are classics of the "New Wave" era. "On the Radio," "Kinda Kute," "I'm the Man" and "Friday" stand out and the bonus track on some editions, a live version of Chuck Berry's "Come On" is pretty good too.
