This book is occasionally somewhat detailed, but gives logical explanations of changes that happen during menopause and perimenopause, with helpful ideas of how to combat the mood swings and physical changes that are happening at this time. Dr. Lee explains things with words and diagrams that are easy to understand, and helpful. this book was recommended to me by a friend, and has been a lifesaver. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to women or their family members, who are suffering through the change of life. It is a good basic guide to help along a difficult road!

I bought this book a few weeks ago and so far I'm not too impressed. It has allot of medical terms and medical studies to drag through and not much practical information that I didn't already know. I was looking for some helpful ideas related to menopause symptoms. I'll pass it on to a friend and maybe they will get something out of it. Thankfully, I didn't pay much for it.
My chiropractor suggested I read it as I have very severe and frequent hot flashes. I read the book and bought some hormone cream and noticed that the severity lessened and the frequency decreased. I still have hot flashes but nothing like it was.
