Since I purchased this book I have a better understanding about the difference between salesmen models and dollhouse stoves. People over the years have used the salesman models as doll house models because of their authentic appearance to the real stove. History of of what these stoves represented have deminished over the years because of The Depression and WWII since companies went under and a lot of these stoves were melted down for the war effort. Discriminating between antiques and reproductions made over the years is a must for someone wanting to collect these pieces of history. This book offers a beginner some assurance of what to look for. What I would love to see as a companion book to this one would be a comparison to the actual stoves and more history on both. OK. I'm asking for too much. (Hint. Hint.) My next purchase will be the books on the Model makers like Kenton, Arcade, and others to determine future purchases of these models.Read full review
