One of the problems I've always had in playing the Beatles is that they produced, at least in my opinion, a sound that melded and disguised each part. Curt Mitchell, the instructor of this video, notes that the Beatles were a "song writing band," who used guitars to deliver their message. This DVD can unlock those "individual" sounds to let you play Beatles' songs. Curt Mitchell has long been one of my favorites, and I highly recommend his teaching technique. Between the slow motion breakdown teaching techniques, and the printable tab sheets, you can put together Beatles tunes in pretty quick order. I recommend popping the DVD into your computer and printing out the tabs in acrobat reader before beginning, to make the process easier. Hey, you're playing the Beatles--it's not work!
There are so many little things wrong with this DVD but they don't take away from the fact that it really teaches the Beatles riffs. The slow motion close ups of Curt playing the notes are very helpful. The reason I bought it though, was to learn how to play, 'Here Comes the Sun,' which was not included. I learned, 'Yesterday', 'I Fell Fine,' and, 'Blackbird,' which were worth more to me than many times the cost of the DVD. I wish he would create a DVD which included,'Here Comes the Sun,' the entire song.
was expecting detailed step by step song lessons, instead got 56 riffs for about 45 different beatles songs. was left very open ended on being able too actually play one complete beatles song from this CD
Good interpretation of Beatle guitar licks. Also included chord progressions on acoustic guitar. nicely done. Would have liked to see more songs.
