I really loved this movie, although I don't typically care for movies that have syrupy musical interludes (and there are a couple), I could overlook them for the creativity of the storyline as well as the incredible animation. I've seen this in HD on TV but the BD version totally blows you away. The movie "Cars" is the same on BD - no comparison. John Travolta gave the title character a totally lovable persona, & the relationship between the dog, cat & hamster was great. I wonder how much U-Haul was paid for this movie as their equipment is prominently displayed during the animals cross-country trip. All in all, an excellent movie for young & old alike - especially in blu ray!
I received this movie from netflix and my daughter LOVES it, and best of all, it's the first movie she has gotten into that I haven't immediately never wanted to see again! It's cute, a good story, funny, and, "easy" for a child to watch. I cannot count how many times she has wanted to watch it. She won't let me send it back (she doesn't know it's a Christmas present yet). I recommend this movie for any family who has children that are at the age of repetition ("I wanna watch it again!!"). It's a good show for them and very easy for the parents to have to listen to over and over! (clearly that is what I am most thankful for right now!) :)
Bolt is an underrated film that reminds us all how far someone will travel for a loved one, be it friend, family or mate. It also reminds us how we can be heroes in real life, even if we've only pretended to be in front of others.

I loved the film when I first watched it w/ 3D glasses in the movie theater and I watched it in Spanish...haha. It was so cute, like most of the Disney animation films. On the 23rd of March, I got the Bluray+DVD combo pack as a gift. I was so excited UNTIL I played the bluray disc on the PS3 and found out that the menu interface was HORRIBLE. When I tried the popup menu, the movie scales down to 1/8 - 1/4 of the screen, so the whole menu pretty much overshadowed the movie. It was total waste of real state (screen space). A total disappointment! I felt that I was playing World of Warcraft or something. I'm not trying to bash (well, actually I am :P ) Deluxe Digital Studios about their poor menu design and development; but this is the big proof that "cheap contractors with 10 PhD's" from other countries aren't necessary the right people to do these types of jobs. Now, regarding their BD-Live, another disappointment. Somehow the software doesn't connect well to the internet. But I'm not going to criticize this feature since it still kind of "in process of development." Even Sony DADC's developers are working hard on this. But as for Bluray menu design, the best are done by Sony DAC or 1K Studios (this last one got screwed because they were on the HD-DVD side). Anyway, overall...as I said, the film is great but the software is a big no. For now, just stick to Netflix :P , Disney is going to come up with some type of "Special Edition" in the future anyway, by that time, Bluray technology will be at its full potential. But if you just want to get that magic code to gain rewards (rewards that look exactly the same as the ones from the $0.99 stores) go ahead and enjoy them...Read full review
I love movies like these. The storyline is great and the CGI looks amazing especially on Blu Ray. This is one of the best Disney movies available. I enjoyed it from start to finish. With the blu ray copy, you get your money's worth because you get not only the blu ray, but a DVD copy and a digital copy as well. How cool is that? I think all blu ray movies should be packaged this way. Do yourself a favor and go pick up Bolt. If your a Disney movie lover like me or if you like CGI movies, you wont regret it :)
