This journal is simply one telling their children about their mother from the day she was borned onward. I had previously purchased a copy of the same journal to write for my daughter for Christmas as each year i always make a sentimental gift for my children. I liked the 1st one so much that i wanted to write one for my son as well so both of my children will have a special gift from me come Christmas morning. Christmas this year will be very emotional as we just lost my husband/ their father 4 weeks ago and i want them to know all about me and the love their parents shared . This journal is idealist and beautifully inspiring and allows me to speak to them from my heart. I would recommend this to anyone that has children regardless of their ago.
I thought this would be a good book to give to my daughter. It looks very interesting to fill in . However, my daughter has twins..and my other children have 2 or 3 children... so, I wish the title was.. "Mother's Memories to Her Children"... AND, I have 4 children...so, I think the book would be best for a mother w/ only one child or a new child. Otherwise, it's fine and I suppose a Mother could write inside that it's to ALL the children. It's so sad about Thomas Kinkaid...hard to understand. But, there again, alcohol has done it's damage and our culture keeps "PUSHING" it.. as if it were just another drink. It's a dangerous drug. Ruins so many lives.. We are so upset that it's now in just about EVERY wedding reception and even Fund Raisers for children. It needs to stop..before our whole country is addicted. Of course, some don't get addicted.. but, CAN cause others to be by example. Seems every day you hear of an alcohol related death or problem...just it's in all sports events and children are watching!!! Too bad about Thomas Kinkaid!! Thanks.Read full review
I would have loved to receive a journal from my Mother about her thoughts and the teachings she tried to instill in me. I would appreciate the journal more now than I would have in my youth. In leaving my own journal for my son, I hope to leave a tradition of belief's and teachings, that I carried from my childhood given to my by my Mother. I am also a big fan of Thomas Kinkade. He is such a talented artist. He captures a time when things were less stressful and time had a way of standing still so we could enjoy the beauty of this world we live in. I hope my son enjoys and treasures my words of love and carries this on for someone he loves.
Love this book. It takes time to complete this book/journal, but your children will treasure it. I treasure the one my mother did for me even though she didn’t finish it before she passed I love reading about her childhood and more.

This would be a excellent book for the parent of either a adopted or biological child. The mother fills out the questions of her childhood, courtship & experiences of her life childhood-present. Makes a wonderful Birthday, shower or Mother's Day gift.Questions are easy to answer so book can be filled out w/ very little effort.
