I am using this cassette recorder to recover software written for the Zilog Z8 processor and store the programs on a PC and DVD. The recorder reads the old cassettes, 1990's and earlier, and when needed stores programs too. One modification was required, only to provide audio while the program is being read. I especially like this recorder because of its simple controls and the small amount of desk space required. It also has good frequency response to store the square wave signals.
